I decided to play around with recording a reading of “The Enchiridion”, an essay by Epictetus, circa 135 A.C.E. (as translated by Elizabeth Carter and published on classics.mit.edu).
The audio was simply recorded with audacity and a built-in mic. It was lightly edited to remove some obvious mistakes and long pauses, normalize background noise out, and equilize to make it a bit more consistent.
